The splendid scenery which is offered by the marvellous cliffs of Santa Cesarea will wrap you into a turbine of colours which are changing continuously from sunrise until sunset.
Santa Cesarea is known for its four caves (Fetida, Gattulla, Solfatara e Solfure) and its thermal water rich on lithium sulphur and bromine salts, which rises at a temperature of 30° and is famous for its therapeutic effects. Caves which according to the legend sheltered a little girl, Cesaria, forced to flee from the cruel wishes of her own father. The water protected her swallowing the cruel man who disappeared for ever. Where this occurrence took place the water went bad and never stopped boiling yet. At his place only the smell of sulphur kept left. You can choose between the emotions of an excursion to the caves called Sulfurea, Romanelli and the extraordinary Grotta della Zinzulusa or rather spend a entire day on a boat including the visit of the caves which are only reached by sea. At night in Santa Cesarea everyone who likes pubs and discos is spoilt for choice.
